Contact: John Vlautin, (310) 867-7129>> WICHITA ARENA TAX SUNSETSThe sales tax that is paying for the Sedgwick County Arena to be built in downtown Wichita, Kan., expired at midnight Dec. 31, performing beyond expectations.  Expected to generate $184 million, it was on track to raise $205.5 million. By state law, all monies collected must be spent on the arena. The first booking was to help the city recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina. This time, officials say, it makes good business sense. The New Orleans Voodoo AFL team sold out every game last season in the 16,021-seat arena, reporting more than 13,000 season tickets sold. The tour will also perform for the first time in Quito, Ecuador, Feb. 12 at Coliseo Ruminahui, and Santiago, Chile, Feb. 14 at Arena Santiago. A second tour is being planned for later this year and is expected to include WWE's first live event performances in Brazil.
