Agreement boosts ticketer’s profile in Czech Republic Starting from this month, Ticketmaster will handle all tickets for coming events at O2 Arena in Prague. Th 18,000-capacity multipurpose venue hosts concerts, sports fixtures and other forms of live entertainment. It’s the home arena of ice hockey team HC Sparta Praha. The building opened in 2004 to host the IIHF World Championships. In 2019, the arena welcomed it 10 millionth visitor. A smaller multipurpose space next to the arena, called O2 Universum, is scheduled to open its doors in September. The venue will host sports and concerts but also operate as a congress center for corporate events  with up to 10,000 visitors. Ticketmaster launched in the Czech Republic two years ago by acquiring local ticketing agency Ticketpro.
