Queen + Adam Lambert entertained more than 10,000 fans at Atlantic City (N.J.) Boardwalk Hall, July 26. The Live Nation-promoted concert grossed more than $700,000 — not bad, considering the date wasn't originally scheduled to occur. Due to demand, Live Nation announced five additional shows to the Queen + Adam Lambert summer tour last March, including the stop at Boardwalk Hall. The 24-date tour wrapped at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ont., July 28, having kicked off June 19 at United Center in Chicago. The group also stopped at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, July 16; Madison Square Garden in New York, July 17; and had its only consecutive two-day run at The Joint in Las Vegas, July 5-6. Queen's musical created with writer Ben Elton, “We Will Rock You” is coming up on its 12th year at London's West End, while Lambert is currently recording his third album.

Fairgrounds are getting in on the action, with Vans Warped Tour stopping at Central Florida Fairgrounds in Orlando, July 27. The Fat Harry Productions and AEG Live-promoted show grossed more than $500,000, thanks to an audience of nearly 15,000. Also, Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa, Calif., on the ground of the Orange County Fair and Events Center, wrapped its final fairtime concerts with two shows by Rebelution, Aug. 9-10', with an attendance totaling 15,895.

Osheaga Music and Arts Festival grossed more than $9-million for the three-day event, Aug. 1-3, at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal. More than 125,000 people bought tickets, with prices ranging from $75-$475. In order to be able to present even more bands, Osheaga Music and Arts Festival added a new stage with The Scène de la Vallée Coca-Cola, and changed The Igloo to serve as a Silent Disco. The lineup included Outkast, Skrillex, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Arctic Monkeys, Lorde, and Jack White, who grossed more than $200,000 at Auditorium Theatre in Chicago the week before the festival. Next year's festival dates have been announced for July 31-Aug. 2.
