The time has come for the third annual Venues Today Stewards of Sustainability awards presented in our August green issue. We need you to nominate companies, individuals and organizations in this industry that have embraced sustainability with an eye toward protecting the environment.
Do you have a good nominee that did something noteworthy within the LAST 12 MONTHS? Then please e-mail Dave Brooks, firstname.lastname@example.org, telling us why this person/company should be honored as a Steward of Sustainability.
We're looking for nominees for our three categories:
Green Pioneer: This award goes to an individual that pushes the boundaries on environmentalism. A forward-thinking individual that compels his/her company to embrace green initiatives. This could be an architect, an executive, a marketing professional, an operational manager or anyone in a major decision-making capacity who has advocated and accomplished environmental designs/initiatives that get results.
Green Innovation: This award is given for an idea or solution that promotes environmental stewardship and paves the way for other facilities. The award could go to a venue built from scratch, or a building upgrade that promotes energy conservation or renewable materials. We're looking for that great idea that inspires others to do their part and protect the earth.
Green Attitude: This award goes to a company or individual that promotes a green attitude that runs throughout their organization. We're looking for someone or something that has had a profound effect on the way business is done and has implemented policies that promote environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
Please send us a detailed nomination request that includes the following information:
WHO IS THE PERSON/COMPANY? IF REFERENCING A COMPANY/GROUP, PLEASE LIST SPECIFIC NAMES AND TITLES OF KEY DECISION-MAKERS
WHAT DID THEY DO AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
HOW MUCH WAS BUDGETED FOR THIS PROJECT? WHAT OTHER RESOURCES WERE INVOLVED?
If you have dollar or cost figures, that would be very helpful. All nominations must be received by Tuesday, June 29.
