(Getty Images) Two top spots for MSG Live shows MSG Live-promoted shows topped two of the categories on this week’s Hot Tickets chart. Billy Joel led the way, with a show at NYC’s Madison Square Garden landing on top of our More Than 15,000 Capacity chart. Joel grossed $2,433,563 and played to 18,462 fans. The ticket range was $65.50-$149.50. Cirque du Soleil’s entrance into the holiday market with “Twas the Night Before” is a success. Nine shows at the Chicago Theatre earned $2,248,527, which landed the new touring family show at No. 1 on our 5,000 or Less Capacity chart. Cher topped the More Than 15,000 Capacity chart with a show at Madison Square Garden that grossed $3,842,660; Rod Stewart, played 3Arena in Dublin and grossed $2,469,507, topping the 10,001-15,000 Capacity chart; and Mariah Carey led the 5,000 or Less Capacity chart with three shows of her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, which grossed $1,563,837. Jonathan Lee, a Taiwanese musician and producer, brought his version of Mandopop to the U.S. and grabbed the remaining top spot, in the 5,001-10,000 Capacity category. (Getty Images) Dutch violinist and conductor André Rieu has taken his Johann Strauss Orchestra to 15,000 or More Capacity venues and proven that classical music is as big a draw as pop and rock. This week, 70-year-old Rieu claimed the No. 1 spot on that chart with six shows at Altice Arena in Lisbon, Portugal, with a gross of $5,892,655. He and his orchestra played to 75,915 music fans, with a ticket range of  $44.62-$133.87. The shows were promoted by André Rieu Productions/in-house. Another act with longevity, Fleetwood Mac, took the No. 2 spot on that chart with a show at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas that grossed $2,939,051. (Getty Images) ‘Joshua Tree Tour’ takes root in Australia, plus a knockout boxing gross In Australia, two shows of U2’s “Joshua Tree Tour” took the top two spots on our More Than 15,000 Capacity chart this week. The band’s show at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne was No. 1, with a gross of $6,909,669. The show at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane grossed $5,043,387. Over 105,000 fans paid $29.07-$239.58 to hear the band play their biggest album live. The tour is promoted by  Live Nation Global Touring. (Getty Images) ‘Wicked’ good, and a big time in Glasgow for Little Mix Hit musical “Wicked” is still topping charts almost 20 years after it started touring. An eight-show run at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre took the No. 1 spot on our Hot Tickets 5,000 or Less Capacity chart this week with a gross of $3,023,014. The “Wicked” witches played to 33,043 fans with a ticket range of $25-$199. Broadway in Atlanta was the promoter. U.K. girl group Little Mix entered our charts with a No. 1 showing in the 10,001-15,000 Capacity category after grossing a healthy $2,486,754 playing three shows at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.
