Linda founded Venues Today in 2002 after nearly 30 years with the now defunct Amusement Business and, briefly, Billboard magazine. She loves the industry. Her friends are in the industry. Her expertise is in writing about the venues industry. She started more traditionally, graduating with a degree in journalism from Indiana University, and working in the consumer press until landing at AB. She grew up on the East Coast in Annandale, Va., and lived in San Francisco, Mansfield, Ohio, Nashville, Tenn., and Huntington Beach, Calif. As managing editor of AB and now editor of Venues Today, she has met an extraordinary group of leaders and visionaries in venue management and looks forward to meeting many more. Most importantly, she works with a great staff.

Greg joined Venues Today in April 2016, putting his BA in journalism from California State University at Fullerton and MFA in creative writing from Lindenwood University to good use in his role as staff reporter. A resident Californian, he is grateful to be a writer by both profession and passion, enjoys reading, running, working out, and adventures abroad and at home with friends and family.

Brad Weissberg

Brad joined Venues Today after a long career in celebrity journalism. He has been on staff at The National Enquirer, Star Magazine, Woman's Day, Australia, NW and Famous. He's written numerous article and conducted celebrity interviews for magazines across the globe including Heat, Grazia, New Ideas, In Touch, Entertainment Weekly, Daily Mirror and Bild. When he's not working Brad can be found snowboarding, playing blackjack or getting worked up over news and current events. Brad has lived around the world and only recently returned to the USA with his partner of 15 years Christian, dogs Lucy and TJ and Selma the cat.

Samantha has been with Venues Today since 2009. She strives to strengthen the international presence of Venues Today and promote the magazine through various marketing efforts. Whether it’s creating marketing collateral, planning for the next tradeshow and award reception or handling production issues, she enjoys having fun at work. Prior to joining Venues Today, she spent nine years in the action sports industry and GES Expo Services. “It’s a treat to check out the cool and creative ads submitted before everyone else sees it — it’s a new surprise every month!“

An individual wearing many hats, Rob works alongside the team ensuring that all daily functions are in progress and goals are being met in addition to overseeing the production and growth of the Venues Today Resource Guide department. He carries a bachelors degree in Business Management and has plans to receive a masters degree in International Business. Rob joined Venues Today in 2006 and continues to grow and develop a strong foundation and vision.

Nazarene Kahn

Resource Guides Coordinator

As the coordinator for the International Venues Resource Guide, it only makes sense that Nazarene is a world traveler. Born in the Caribbean nation of Trinidad, she has lived in West Africa and Paris. She is fluent in French, and practices that skill whenever ringing up festivals in Quebecois. She recently returned to visit her home country of Trinidad, and is looking forward to her next adventure. “I’ve realized the more places I visit, the more places there are to discover.”'

Jay joined Venues Today in November 2011. He's a California State University, Long Beach graduate with a bachelor’s degree in film. When he's not working on the Venues Resource Guides and the database, he is working on film projects figuring out new formulas. He is a die-hard fan of the Chicago Bulls and follows the NFL religiously. He'll listen to anything with a good beat.

Monique Potter

Hot Tickets Manager

Monique Potter joined the Venues Today team in February, 2016, as the Hot Tickets Manager. She attended University of Phoenix where she graduated with honors and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Monique spent last year working for The Literacy Project, and is currently writing a phonetically based book for children. She is also a huge fan of the Oakland Raiders and loves Sunday football.

Karmen White

Accounting Manager

Karmen joined Venues Today in August 2015. Through the years, she worked various accounting jobs, from junior accounting clerk to accounts payable and accounts receivable. A fun job she had was when she worked for an educational company from 2002 to 2013. They were a school that taught people to trade in the stock market. (Stocks (Equity), Forex, E Mini & Options Trading) She started in the company 2002 when there were 5 employees. Karmen has done everything from booking all travel for instructors, classroom implementation to setting up sales seminars on site and off site in different Hotels and banquet rooms. She is currently attending Cal State Long Beach to complete her BA degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing.

Kimberly joined Venues Today in August 2014. She graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor's Degree in history with minors in Archaeology, Jewish Studies, and Political Science. After graduation, she spent a year as an AmeriCorps member of the national educational non-profit City Year in Los Angeles. When Kimberly is not working, she frequently attends concerts and festivals in Southern California and practices the ukelele.”'

Lisa has been with Venues Today since 2003. Design is an integral part of life and nature and Lisa finds herself inspired by both. “For me, inspiration comes in many different forms. A wave. A song. A smell. Pure silence. Sometimes I just have to close my eyes to find my visual voice,” she said. Her favorite colors are PMS 1365 and 319 and her favorite font is Gotham Light — it goes with any outfit.

Jim joined Venues Today with three decades of experience in publishing. He created and later sold Kitchenware News, and has worked in both classified sales and retail sales for daily newspapers. He’s enjoyed transitioning into the venue business, “and everyone I’ve worked with has been friendly and welcoming.” When he’s not selling ads, he enjoys sailing in his home state of Maine, where he lives with his wife. He is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.
